An adventure in my tummy !

I am an explorer and I do not limit myself to just exotic places. I also take the opportunity to explore different food places in my country. Zambia has very diverse cuisine options, and this past weekend i got the chance to visit a restaurant called Mpotu Yatu which can be translated to my pot in english. Mpoto yatu is known for its Zambian traditional food but it also has an international selection of meals.                                                                               The picture on the right is what we call shoka nyama in Zambian local language. Chaminuka Day!

       Chaminuka is a lodge located in  the outskirts of  Lusaka Zambia. Chaminuka not only provides great accommodation but is home to one of the greatest wildlife in Zambia. I had the opportunity to visit this place and I must say that I was greatly impressed by what Chaminuka had to offer.       I went to Chaminuka this past weekend with my family for a day trip. The journey to Chaminuka was hectic. I say this because it was an extremely long ride and not because it is far but, because, at some point the road to Chaminuka is entirely gravel. Moreover, our GPS system had incorrect directions mapped out. We actually passed the entrance sign because our GPS was directing us to the old entrance. Despite these initial mishaps that placed us in a bad mood. our mood rapidly elevated once we saw how extravagant Chaminuka is.
